Fanny Girl, 2024, Gropius Bau (Berlin, Germany)

In reference to both Fanny Brice of “Funny Girl” fame and Romantic composer Fanny Mendelssohn, “The Omer Count: Fanny Girl” is a concert performance with a wide ranging acoustic repertoire. In the spirit of Fanny Mendelssohn’s Sonntagsmusiken, a musical salon she hosted in 19th-century Berlin-Mitte, we invite the audience into the setting and atmosphere of a music room where the work is not fixed but unfolding, in process.
